The tail of the heavy-duty scraper conveyor is also equipped with a power transmission device, which is called the upper head and the lower head according to the installation position.

According to the layout and structure of the scraper conveyor chute, it can be divided into two types: parallel type and overlapping type. According to the number and layout of chains, it can be divided into four types: single chain, double chain, double center chain, and three chain.

practical application

The scraper conveyor can be used for horizontal transportation as well as inclined transportation. When transporting upward along a slope, the inclination angle of the coal seam shall not exceed 25 °, and when transporting downward, the inclination angle shall not exceed 20 °. When the inclination angle of the coal seam is large, anti-skid devices shall be installed. The flexible scraper conveyor allows 2 ° to 4 ° bending in the horizontal and vertical directions.

working principle

The working principle of a scraper conveyor is to use an open chute as a bearing member for coal, gangue, or materials, and fix the scraper on a chain (forming a scraper chain) as a traction component. When the head transmission is started, the sprocket on the head shaft of the belt conveyor rotates, causing the scraper chain to circulate and move the belt material along the chute until it reaches the head for unloading. The scraper chain operates in a stepless closed cycle around the chain wheel to complete the transportation of materials.
